The Internet as a Source of Income
Let's face it, large numbers of people are on the Internet because they hope it will prove to be a source of income. For some, it most certainly has - but many people are still searching and wondering when - if ever - the magic bullet will fall in their laps.
Well there seems to be no end to the hype and promises and no end to the number of people signing up to the latest outrageous promise only to find themselves later thoroughly burned.
Yes, some people succeed mightily and I suggest the reasons they do and most don't are the following:
- They already have a large, responsive list;
-
They join these programs early while the thing has momentum and get a heap of people signed up quickly before that momentum dies and someone else is promoting another 9-day wonder;
-
They do work very hard
Now, if you are prepared to build yourself a huge list and spend a great deal of time posting to it multiple times a day, this stuff may be for you. But count on a lot of work.
The other pieces of advice I have to offer are the following:
- Get your marketing system in place and working BEFORE you start joining programs to advertise - or at the very least start off marketing one thing only until your marketing platform has shown you that it will bring home the bacon;
-
Allied with the above - concentrate on ONE program only to start with and be very cautious about what you add thereafter, or you will totally dissipate your efforts and burn out with no results;
-
Joining up under a heavy-hitter CAN be advantageous BUT there is NO PROGRAM that allows you to make a fortune without recruiting of your own accord. Read the small print and you will find some of the promises circulating to that effect at the present time are simply hot air.
Good Luck!
